SPITFIRE ECLIPSE
A solar eclipse on 9 July 1945 which was total in a narrow path from Idaho, through Montana and into Canada, Greenland, Norway, Sweden, Russia and Siberia. The eclipse was photographed by a Spitfire over Canada. A B-25 bomber navigated for the Spitfire.
